Grab yourself a fresh set of Gold handlebars with the Forbidden Motorcycles Moto Style Bars that feature a 1-1/8" clamping area but taper down to 1" to accommodate stock Harley hand controls. They are pre-drilled for internal wiring, including the holes to run wires through the risers for a nice clean setup. Keep in mind you will need risers that accept 1 1/8" handlebars to use these moto bars - available from Forbidden Motorcycles and others. Once you're set with them, you'll have a solid set of moto bars.
